Going, going, gone
For this title, we stepped away from the fun photographic pairings of the earlier Photo Ark titles, and instead focused on presenting the haunting portraits of the most endangered creatures in the collection. I wanted the typography to connote the urgency of the extinction event we are currently mired in, and that combined with opening the book with extinct and functionally extinct creatures is, I hope, a real gut punch. I researched and helped craft many of the large display facts featured in the layouts.
